Pavagada lies about 150 Kms To the north of Bangalore City. It's a medium sized town in Tumkur District. Rocky hills, Drought stricken barren lands and hot climate welcomes you to the town. With a population of 50000 majorities depending on agriculture the Taluk remains socially, educationally and economically very backward.

The student population of 5000 and add of which 80% belong to SC, ST and Backward classes wear unable to persuade higher education either in    Tumkur, Bangalore etc. The cry for higher education facilities,.....

     
                                                                 Our NSS volunteers under took a herculean task of construction of 6 class room buildings and an open air Auditorium Buvaneswari Kalakshethra. This helped the college bag the prestigious and coveted State award for best NSS unit and best NSS programme officer for the year 2005.
